IV. Wastewater and Waste Gas Prevention and Emission Status

As of 2021, all of our company's water and air pollution prevention facilities have been operating stably. The test results are as follows:

(1) Self-monitoring Results

① Wastewater: In accordance with company regulations, wastewater and clear drainage are tested twice daily, with each shift conducting tests on the discharged wastewater and clear drainage. The primary testing parameters include COD, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, pH, and suspended solids (SS). Both wastewater and clear drainage are discharged in compliance with standards. If any parameters exceed the standards, the discharge is immediately halted, and additional samples are analyzed based on the specific circumstances. Our company currently has two wastewater discharge outlets (Public Plant Wastewater Discharge Outlet No. 1 - DW001; Specialized Plant Wastewater Discharge Outlet No. 2 - DW002). There are three clear wastewater discharge outlets (Public Plant Clear Wastewater Discharge Outlet No. 1 - YS001; Public Plant Clear Wastewater Discharge Outlet No. 2 - YS002; Specialized Plant No. 3 Clear Drainage Outlet - YS003).

② Exhaust Gas  Our company currently has three process exhaust gas discharge outlets: TO Furnace - DA001 (Height 30m, Diameter 0.9m): Primarily treats vacuum exhaust gas from the EG project, EO venting gas, and EO purification exhaust gas in the process area, using a “high-temperature incineration + water washing + alkali washing” process.

CO furnace - DA002 (height 25m, diameter 1.5m): primarily treats EO system decarbonization regeneration exhaust gas from the process area, using catalytic incineration technology.

EOD scrubber tower - DA003 (height 21m): primarily treats exhaust gas from the EOD process area and part of the tank breathing exhaust gas, using desalinated water washing spray. Daily routine monitoring is conducted internally, and all exhaust emissions meet the corresponding atmospheric pollution emission standards.

(2) Commissioned Monitoring Status

① Wastewater  The company commissioned Suzhou Huan You Testing Co., Ltd. (CMA-certified) to test the discharged wastewater,

with the following results:

Average values for discharged public utility wastewater: COD 32.7 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen 0.68 mg/L, total phosphorus 0.16 mg/L, petroleum hydrocarbons 0.53 mg/L, acetaldehyde 0 mg/L, suspended solids (SS) 27.7 mg/L, pH 8.07 mg/L, sulfides 0.02 mg/L, BOD5 9.32 mg/L, total nitrogen 2.84 mg/L, total organic carbon 9.06 mg/L, and volatile phenols 0 mg/L.

The average values for the discharge of wastewater from the specialized plant were as follows: COD 38 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen 0.304 mg/L, total phosphorus 0.1 mg/L, petroleum hydrocarbons 0.37 mg/L, acetaldehyde 0 mg/L, suspended solids (SS) 12 mg/L, pH 8.1 mg/L, BOD₅ 16.6 mg/L, total nitrogen 3.22 mg/L, total organic carbon (TOC) 8.04 mg/L, and volatile phenols 0 mg/L.

The average values measured at the discharge outlet of Public Plant No. 1 are: COD 29.67 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen 0.187 mg/L, total phosphorus 0.13 mg/L, pH 7.78 mg/L.

The average values measured at the No. 2 wastewater discharge outlet of the Public Utility Plant were: COD 6.33 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen 0.08 mg/L, total phosphorus 0.24 mg/L, and pH 7.77 mg/L.

The average values detected at the No. 3 sewage discharge outlet of the specialized plant were: COD 11.33 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen 0.63 mg/L, total phosphorus 0.13 mg/L, and pH 7.5 mg/L.

All of the above test data were within acceptable limits.

② Groundwater

The test data from 10 groundwater testing points at the Far Eastern Union EOG plant are as follows:

Exhaust Gas  Exhaust gas testing was commissioned to Suzhou Huan You Testing Co., Ltd., with the following results:

TO furnace emission outlet (organized) average values: non-methane total hydrocarbons 14.52 mg/m³, particulate matter 1.68 mg/m³, nitrogen oxides 36.06 mg/m³, sulfur dioxide 0 mg/m³, hydrogen chloride 0.43 mg/m³; Acetaldehyde, methanol, ethylene oxide, and ethylene glycol were not detected.

CO furnace emission outlet (organized) average values: non-methane total hydrocarbons 9.55 mg/m³, hydrogen chloride 0.21 mg/m³, particulate matter 1.99 mg/m³, nitrogen oxides 7.75 mg/m³; Sulfur dioxide, acetaldehyde, and ethylene oxide were not detected.

The average values measured at the EOD scrubber tower emission outlet (organized) were: volatile organic compounds 0.34 mg/m³, formaldehyde 0.47 mg/m³; methanol, ethylene oxide, and acetaldehyde were not detected.

The average values of unorganized exhaust gas at the plant boundary were: volatile organic compounds 0.395 mg/m³, hydrogen chloride 0.02 mg/m³, odor concentration 13.75 mg/L, particulate matter 0.13 mg/m³, and ammonia 0.07 mg/m³; acetaldehyde, ethylene glycol, ethylene oxide, and hydrogen sulfide were not detected. All the above testing data are fully compliant.

(3) Online Monitoring Status

① Wastewater The company has established a monitoring station equipped with 11 online monitoring systems, including 2 sets for wastewater, 3 sets for clear wastewater, CEMS for the TO furnace and CO furnace, and 4 sets of VOCs detectors at the factory boundary. These systems are maintained by Yangzhou Yichao Co., Ltd. Wastewater monitoring data (COD, pH, total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, flow rate) and exhaust gas monitoring data (non-methane total hydrocarbons, flow rate) are real-time connected to the Yizheng Environmental Protection Bureau, the Chemical Industrial Park Safety and Environmental Protection Bureau, and the company's central control room. The online monitoring system randomly samples and analyzes wastewater and clear wastewater six times daily, with all emissions meeting standards on a routine basis. If any data exceeds standards, the company will immediately cease wastewater discharge and implement corrective measures.

③ Exhaust Gas  The company has installed 57 gas detectors on-site, all of which are connected to the company's DCS system for real-time monitoring.
